Harrods investigates current staff involved in Al Fayed scandal – ‘Manager picked young girls for himself’

Harrods is investigating whether any of its current staff are involved in the scandal involving former store owner Mohamed Al Fayed, who is alleged to have raped and sexually assaulted several female former employees. A former Harrods employee, who spoke to BBC News using the name Jessica, said a manager, who still works at the store, did not investigate her complaint about Al Fayed’s misconduct. The employee claims the tycoon pushed her against a wall and sexually assaulted her in 2008, when she was 22. The outlet says an internal review is underway, which includes “examining whether any current staff are involved in any of the allegations against Mohamed Al Fayed either directly or indirectly” and is in direct communication with the Metropolitan Police.
