Harry and Andrea, after the royal titles, are also about to lose the role of State Councilors

The principles Harry e Andrew of York, after the title of Royal Highness, they are also about to lose their role in the Council of State. At the moment they are still among the four Counselors of State – the other two are Carlo e William – designated a replace the queen when she is unable to perform her duties due to absence or illness. But neither Harry nor Andrea are able to fulfill their duty anymore: the Duke of Sussex lives since 2020 in States with wife Meghan Markle and children Archie Lilibet Diana; the Duke of York, in the eye of the storm because of the Epstein scandal and for this reason deprived of military titles and honors, is preparing to face – as a private citizen – the American trial for sexual abuse of the then minor Virginia Giuffre.

The Queen Elizabeth in recent months has had health problems that forced her to miss important appointments as the Cop26 and the service of the Remembrance Sunday. So the matter of the Councilors of State, as a royal source said al MailOnline, is “of vital importance to the monarchy”: Carlo and William, alone, certainly cannot shoulder all the responsibilities of the sovereign.

Buckingham Palace would therefore be ready to take out both Andrew and Harry from the Council of State. And now we ask ourselves: who will replace them? By law, the spouse of the sovereign (i.e. Filippo, who however died last April) e the first four persons in the line of succession who are over 21 years of age. Second Tatler the most likely candidates would be Beatrice of York e Camilla of Cornwall, who will in any case become a Councilor of State when her husband Carlo ascends the throne. Among the eligible candidates there is also Sophie di Wessex, who in the royal family is one of Her Majesty’s most loved members.

Regardless of the name of the new councilors, yet another shame is looming for the queen’s son and grandson. And he will not be the only one: as reported by the Daily Telegraph, neither Andrew nor Harry, both deprived of their honorary military titles, will receive the medal of Platinum Jubilee which will be awarded next month to some members of the armed forces.
