Here’s the backstory. In an episode of the animated series broadcast in October, Harry and Meghan are lying by the pool when a butler joins them to give the prince a check saying: «Sir, your millions from Netflix for… nobody knows what». Harry replies: “Put him with the others.” Then the wife receives an alert on her cell phone and urges her husband: «Darling, it’s time to do our daily post on Instagram sponsored by Of the Taco (which is a Californian restaurant) for 250 million dollars.” Harry, in the end, seems regretful for the consequences of his renunciation of royal life in Great Britain: «I shouldn’t have left that made up nonsense».
Everything comes from contract (about 150 million euros) that the couple had signed with Netflix in September 2020, to produce TV series and documentaries. But, since then, apart from the Harry & Meghan docuseries and the flop documentary Heart of Invictus, not much else has been made. For this reason, the contract with Netflix would be at risk. And this situation gave the creators of the animated series the delicious opportunity to make fun of the couple.
According to sources close to them, after the Family Guy episode, the husband and wife feel like «not being taken seriously enough from people” and of “not being able to take a break”. The source adds that «Meghan said she will not be humiliated like this and is desperate for a solution. I’m in full panic mode.”
