The narrative crosses places where Meghan grew up (“I had one nice network of women who helped me raise it”), passes by a few unforgettable phrases (I asked her if I looked like her mother and she said I looked like her an overbearing older sister»), up to the outburst for the attacks of some tabloids: «I remember telling you that it was clearly an issue of ethnicity. She replied that he didn’t want to hear it. I replied that, even if she didn’t want to hear it, that was what was happening».

“As a mother I would love to go back and do a serious conversation about how the world sees you», he adds in the interview, further revealing the feeling of little tranquillity when some newspapers began to dig into the past about Meghan: «They took pictures in different parts of the slums and we said that I lived therethat she came from there. I didn’t feel safe at all: I couldn’t go out with the dogs, I couldn’t go to work, it was always there someone waiting for me and following me».

“I was stalked by the paparazzi,” he concludes. «I remember that once, in the car, a guy pulled up next to me, he told me that he was just looking for a story, that I could have made a lot of money. I looked at him, I replied that I had nothing to say, that it was about my daughter». In a different way, however, Meghan’s father reacted, Thomas Markle, Doria’s ex-husband. “I couldn’t believe he had become part of that circus. I found both the media’s behavior and his own sad.”

«So you are not a parent».
