Harry and Meghan, the first TV interview (with Oprah Winfrey) after the farewell to the royal family

The eyes of the world are increasingly on Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle. The bombshell that the two were not enough they will be parents again, now another explosive novelty has arrived: the Sussex they will grant to the friend Oprah Winfrey the first television interview after the farewell to the royal family. The special, entitled Oprah with Meghan and Harry, will be broadcast in the early evening, on March 7th, on Cbs. And as a statement from the American broadcaster announces, the Sussexes will talk about each other “widely” during the chat.

Oprah will talk to Meghan first of her entry to court, of marriage, of motherhood, his philanthropic work and how he handles the pressures of a life with the spotlight always on him. The two they will then be joined by Prince Harry, to discuss the Megxit, the move to the United States and the couple’s future goals.

The choice of the interviewer is not causal. Oprah, in addition to being one of the most powerful women in America, is a longtime friend of the Sussexes, so much so that attended Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding, in May 2018, at Windsor Castle. And since the dukes live in Montecito, California, is also one of them neighbor. The African American presenter also stands collaborating with Prince Harry for the realization of a mental health docuseries for Apple TV +.

The reaction of Elizabeth II the news that his nephew and his wife are ready to blurt out all their private affairs on TV is not known. Although it is reasonable to assume that His Majesty – always used to wash the (royal) dirty clothes in the family – are not jumping for joy. Instead, the reaction – sarcastic – of part of the British press is there for all to see. Meghan just won the legal battle against the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday, from her cited in court for having invaded his privacy publishing excerpts from the private letter sent to dad Thomas in August 2018. It is logical that the two newspapers, now, cannot help but point out how much the announced and “Such an intimate interview” to fight with the privacy that has always been demanded by the dukes of Sussex.
