Prince Harry And Meghan Marklein spite of the poisons spread against the royal family (most recently with the book-bomb Shoot), have officially received the invitation to the coronation of King Charles III which will be held on May 6 in London. Their spokesman revealed it a couple of days ago, specifying: “At the moment we cannot say whether the duke and duchess will participate”. But perhaps the truth is that the dukes still haven’t decided what to do. At least so thinks royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, who al MailOnline he explained that Harry and Meghan are struggling with a Hamlet these days dilemma: to go or not to go to Charles’s coronation?
On the one hand, Fitzwilliams explains, the Sussexes would be keen to snub the big event. Because I am furious. Mainly for two reasons. The first: the sovereign last January (after the release of Shoot) has them «evicted» from their London home, Frogmore Cottage. The second: Harry and Meghan as a condition sine qua non to participate in the coronation they demanded that the royal family apologize to them for the alleged wrongs they allegedly suffered before moving to America. The apologies did not arrive, and «they won’t arrive». Thus the Sussexes have no desire to come face to face with their august relatives. Not to mention the fact that their popularity, after the continuous attacks on the royal family, in England is at an all-time low. «Many laugh at them» explains Fitzwilliams. And the dukes «are worried»: il whistle risk by the crowd has been feared for months by many real observers.
Better to stay at home, then? No. Because the Sussexes are well aware that i millionaire contracts who have signed in the States – with Netflix, with Spotify, with the Penguin Random House publishing house – are rained into their pockets «just because they are members of the royal family». If they did not participate in an historic event such as the coronation, the two would risk appearing «irrelevant», «forever cut off from the royal world». And the consequences, in terms of money contracts, could be devastating. So Fitzwilliams has no doubts: despite being furious, “the Sussexes will not dare to snub” the ceremony on May 6. And if they really decide to go, they can stay at Frogmore Cottage. King Charles evicted them yes, but at the same time offered them, according to the Daily Mailan olive branch: if they agree to participate in the coronation, Frogmore Cottage will be at their disposal during their stay in London.
