Harry and William, a garden of the heart and a new statue: so will be the ceremony for Lady Diana

A first step was taken on the occasion of England-Germany, virtually, with some messages inspired by the camaraderie of football. The real metamorphosis, however, should take place today, in Kensington, when Harry e William they will meet together, both called to present the statue of the mother, Lady Diana Spencer. The brothers, whose feud has been going on for a year now, fueled above all by the Sussexes’ decision to leave the English royal family, will be alone in Kensington.

Carlo, far from wanting to play the part of the peacemaker, would have decided to leave the children to themselves, so that they can confront face to face, without mediation or external interference.

“What we will see will be the reunion of two brothers determined to be professional because they are aware of how this moment is not for them”, tried to anticipate Omid Scobie, a journalist who is said to be in the pay of Meghan Markle. “They’ll put everything aside,” the reporter promised, recalling how Harry and William have worked on a memorial statue project for four years to date. The two, at the end of the ceremony, referred the Queen, like Charles, will not take part, they should then have a moment of private confrontation.

The brothers, the meeting should be held at the end of the day, they should lead the inauguration ceremony, in the organization of which they took an active part. Together with a team of gardeners and designers, the two would rethink the Sunken Garden, loved by their mother. Four hundred meters of turf were planted within the gardens, where Diana Spencer loved to sit. Over four thousand flowers have been planted, carefully chosen from the favorites of the sad princess. Tulips, roses, dahlias, forget-me-nots, lavender have been optioned to adorn the garden, inside which a statue of Lady D will stand out, presented to a few close friends on the day she would have completed sixty years.

The day, initially conceived to be a public event, turned into a private meeting place, intended only for the dearest of Lady Diana’s family members. The choice seems to have been forced. The feud between the brothers, although willing to find a smile on the day dedicated to the mother, would not have left room for real and wider celebrations. Nor would Harry, now obsessed with having to exercise some control over the media.
