The actress Miriam Margolyes 83, who played the teacher Pomona Sprout in the saga of “Harry Potter” updated his health status and said he was having difficulty walking due to back problems.
According to the artist, as the condition progresses, her mobility is increasingly compromised. “I can’t walk very well and I’m registered as disabled,” she said in a recent interview with Closer magazine.
“I use all sorts of assistive devices. I have two canes and a walker, and they’re really annoying, but I just have a mobility scooter, which is really fun,” she said. “It’s like having a new toy. It’s really good for shopping because it has a basket – and I really enjoy walking around with it,” she continued.
Miriam also admitted to the British newspaper Telegraph that she suffers from other health problems, such as spinal stenosis and osteoporosis. She even said she had predicted her own death.
“You know you don’t have long to live and I’ll probably die in the next five or six years, if not sooner – I hate to stop performing. It’s a joy,” he said on July 20.
“I long to play roles that don’t confine me to a wheelchair, but I’m not strong enough,” he said.
In May 2023, the actress had to be hospitalized due to a chest infection. In October, she said she had undergone a procedure to replace her transcatheter aortic valve. “Now I have a cow’s heart,” she joked during the Table Manner podcast.
“Well, not the whole heart,” he clarified. “But I had an aortic valve replaced with a cow aortic valve.”
