The actress Bonnie Wright best known for her role as Ginny Weasley in the “Harry Potter” films told his expectations for the character’s return in HBO series — which still has no confirmed cast.
“More development of the relationship between Ginny and Harry,” she shared in an interview with Variety. “There are subtle moments where they start to fall in love. I think more of that arc of her becoming a loyal companion to Harry and how she really understands and knows his history and who he is, and is the best partner for him.”
“I just hope we see the evolution of this character — and so many other characters,” she said, adding that roles like Neville and Luna also deserved more screen time. “If only we could have five-hour movies.”
In another interview, Daniel Radcliffe also spoke about passing the baton to a new Harry Potter and gave his advice: “Let them be kids. I can’t imagine what it would have been like to do Harry Potter in the age of social media. It was just before that.”
The “Harry Potter” series is scheduled to be released only in 2026.
Warner Bros. CEO David Zaslav has confirmed the involvement of the books’ author, JK Rowling. The first information released about the project said that it would be a series with seven seasons, each based on a book.
