Harry will not be able to destroy the British royal family: Diana’s biographer is sure of it

Only a handful of hours leftarrival on Netflix of Harry & Meghanthe documentary film on Sussex who promises to tell their truth. Then, it will be the turn of the Harry’s memoirwhich will be released on January 10 and that could even question the royal titles of the son of King Charles III, in case the prince decides to make uncomfortable revelations.

But, faced with the prediction of what would appear to be two moderate earthquakes, the British royal family will – once again – make a common front, and will manage to have no repercussions. To support it with conviction is Andrew Morton, biographer of Princess Dianaevidently well versed in the Crown’s ability to handle scandals at court.

“Harry had every right to write his memoir,” said the reporter in an interview with aa Fox News Digital. “He is not the first royal to do so, nor will he be the last,” he added, recalling that Edward VIII wrote his A King’s Story even in 1951 and that his too Diana: Her True Story it was an international bestseller capable of upsetting the Royal Family. But not to create irreparable damage, obviously. Despite the decline in popularity that Diana’s confessions caused to the Queen and to the entire institution that she represented, after years Elizabeth has gone away much loved by her subjects and by the population of the whole world.

Nothing new under the sun, therefore, nor anything Buckingham Palace cannot cope with. “Harry’s book will cause concern and make headlines around the world, but it won’t destroy the institution,” Morton says with conviction, arguing that if the British royal family is so weak that it can’t handle the backlash of a book written by a junior member, then we might as well do without the monarchy. After all, continues Morton with some contempt, Harry is now sixth in the line of succession to the throne, and will probably “fall rapidly down the hierarchy”.
