In an article in the French magazine Le Point, he criticizes the president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and what he seeks in the background of the 2023 elections, characterizing him as a “psychotic Sultan”.
“If you’ve enjoyed the months-long performance of Vladimir Putin, a war criminal and criminal by trade, who dreams of reconstituting the USSR, you’ll love the upcoming sequel with Tayyip Erdogan, who, like his Russian counterpart, intends to follow his fantasies to the end by trying to recreate the Ottoman Empire”, notes columnist Franz-Olivier Giesbert as reported by HellasJournal.
Faced with the fiasco of the economic situation in his country, he “naturally dreams of waging war” without knowing where yet. Before the 2023 elections, which do not bode well for him if the polls are to be believed, he is considering several scenarios.
“First, to finish the work of his predecessors who in the 20th century committed genocide against the Armenian and Greek minorities: he is burning to search for those peoples as far as Armenia and Greece whom he would like to dismember or eat. Then to crush the Kurds who make up 24% of the Turkish population whom the embryonic state intends to eliminate in Syria.”
“Erdogan has no limits. With him, we always have to fear the worst, especially since this man is much more Machiavellian than Putin”, comments the columnist and continues:
“Especially because we Westerners encourage him in his delusions by lying in front of him every time he frowns. He is the worm on the wrist, our enemy from within. He pulls the strings in NATO, of which the country is a member, and has woven the his web in Europe, especially among the Muslims in France, who are very often under Turkish influence”.
“Erdogan is possessed by another psychosis: the Armenians (…) In this world of barbarism, if there are still rules, it is the sultan who defines them. By increasing air or sea violations against Greece, he also claims the Greek islands of the Dodecanese .Waiting to claim other territories, as he is insatiable”, the article concludes, among other things.
