Harvard President Alan Garber will voluntarily reduce his salary by 25%, as the renowned university is facing growing cuts in his federal funding by US President Donald Trump’s government, said Wednesday. The reduction in salary will apply from the beginning of the new financial year on 1 July. Harvard presidents earn over $ 1 million a year. Harvard spokesman Jonathan L. Suein said, according to US media, that other Harvard officials have also volunteered changes to their salary.
