Ricoh Imaging has introduced the HD Pentax-DA * 16-50mmF2.8ED PLM AW KAF4 mount for use with APS-C DSLR cameras.

Standard zoom lens with constant f / 2.8 maximum aperture outperforms comparable smc model Pentax-DA * 16-50mmF2.8ED AL[IF]SDM released since 2007. One of the advantages of the novelty is the pulse drive automatic focusing (PLM), first used in a high-aperture zoom lens. According to the manufacturer, it provides fast and quiet focusing. Of course, the lens also supports manual focus. Electromagnetic iris control maintains a constant exposure during video recording. The lens barrel is dust and splash resistant.
