HD Pentax-FA 31mmF1.8 Limited, HD Pentax-FA 43mmF1.9 Limited and HD Pentax-FA 77mmF1.8 Limited lenses introduced

As expected, Ricoh Imaging has unveiled three HD Pentax-FA Limited lens models, preliminary information on which appeared the day before. Thanks to the latest HD coating and rounded aperture, these new KAF-mount lenses boast “significantly improved image performance,” according to the manufacturer.

The lenses based on the FA Limited series are superior in optical performance. But that’s not even the point: the manufacturer claims that he tried to “reach a level that cannot be simply measured by numerical values.” For example, HD coating, which has a higher light transmittance than conventional multi-layer coatings, allows for sharp and contrasting images without artifacts, even in difficult conditions such as backlighting, and the circular aperture provides beautiful out-of-focus blur.

Bodies, hoods and lens caps are made of aluminum. All three models will be available in black and silver.
