A young man fell into a coma for months after a car accident and woke up just before his organs were to be donated. However, he eventually passed away when he was hit by a truck while crossing the road. According to a New York Post report, Drew Kohn was involved in a motorcycle accident in 2017, just days before his 23rd birthday. The young man was hospitalized with brain damage and fell into a coma for 244 days, but finally woke up just before his mother made the decision to proceed with organ donation. “They would have harvested his organs if he hadn’t woken up in time,” said his mother Yolanda Osborne-Kohn.
