A man gave paid almost four times more than the original price in order to buy it ring which she wore Janis Joplin in 1967 at the Monterey Pop Festival.
The silver jewelry consisting of an amber stone, was auctioned with price 10,000 – 20,000 dollarsbut finally sold for $76,200.
Janis Joplin wore this particular ring in 1967 and in her many other appearances while on tour it was donated by Judy Hullwife of saxophonist Danny Hull.
Judy was a former ballerina and toured with the legendary singer, and they often dressed identically.
So they usually compared the jewelry and beads they wore and whenever the other liked something they exchanged it. In this way, the ring ended up in the hands of Judy Hull and finally after decades it went under the hammer.
