A Lyft driver has been arrested for brutally assaulting her country musician, Clare Dunn.
The singer revealed that he threw her out of it cab and he slapped her face furiously on the sidewalk.
“It was hell,” Clare Dunn told People magazine about her odyssey, with the driver finally arrested on Tuesday.
The musician also shared a photo of her with her bruised face, by her attack which took place in Tennessee on June 26th.
The star was recording her new album in Nashville when she and a friend shared a taxi home.
The driver left his girlfriend first and took Dunn to her house. According to her testimony, she asked him to avoid the busy boulevards, and at one point told him that he had missed the turn for her house.
“He started yelling at me,” the musician said, noting that the driver was getting angrier. At one point she stopped, a short distance from her house, and before she could do anything, “she grabbed me by the collar, threw me out of the back seat and hit me in the face on the sidewalk.
There he left her, severely beaten, and left. The police arrested 46-year-old Albert Boakye, who had another such violent case on his record;
