US President Donald Trump said last Saturday that he wants a plan to “house” the Gaza Strip, saying he proposes that Palestinians are going to go “temporarily” or “in the long run” in Jordan and Egypt. “We are talking about about 1.5 million people”, and “simply (the purpose is) to house this area,” said the Republican, who reiterated the comparison of the Palestinian pocket with a “demolition construction site” after Fifteen months of war. Asked if it refers to a long -term relocation of the citizens of the Gaza Strip, Mr Trump replied “it could be either one or the other”, adding that the Palestinians “will be able to live peacefully, so for change”.
