He was adopted as a baby and now he takes care of his mom with Alzheimer’s

Without a doubt, a disease like Alzheimer’s has a profound impact, not only on those who suffer from it, but also on those close to them.

Life takes a 180° turn and some members of the family are forced to assume different responsibilities when a relative is diagnosed with this disease, usually the children who become caregivers of their sick mother or father.

A Tiktok user who goes by the name of Turkedwards posted a video that went viral for the most beautiful reason possible. Being an adopted son, he knew how to thank in the best way the woman who decided to raise him when he was eight months old and who today, unfortunately, he suffers from Alzheimer’s.

Turkedwards has over 190,000 followers on Tiktok, possibly due to his heartwarming videos of him chatting with his mother and being reminded every day of the difference she made in his life.

In an emotional video captioned “Love is patient, love is kind, love is in this video,” he reminds his mother that he is that baby she adopted and cared for many years ago.

I am that baby you decided to adopt and raise. She was eight months old and now we are together.

His mother, moved and in tears, managed to remember that she had been the one who adopted that 35-year-old adult who today cares for her with so much love:

Sometimes I forget. I am happy to have you.

According to Turkedwards, his mother had already raised her four biological children, but nothing and no one prevented her from deciding to adopt the helpless eight-month-old baby at the age of 40.

You took care of me and now I will take care of you. We have always been each other’s blessing.

Without a doubt, your great gesture of love goes beyond gratitude!
