He was driving carelessly when he saw a man abandoning a baby on the side of the highway

A man from Louisiana rescued a baby abandoned by a stranger on the side of a highway.

A stranger accused of assaulting the child’s mother.

Luke Dufrene told local media he was driving his car when he saw a man get out of his vehicle and drop one baby last Thursday afternoon.

“I stopped and put my truck in front of the child, because I know how dangerous this place is. While I was lifting it, two women approached me. “One was a witness and the other was the mother.”

The mother was in a state of rage. She said she was attacked by 27-year-old Dillon Terrebonne, after an argument in their cars, a fact that was confirmed by the local sheriff’s office.

Terrebonne stopped, got out of his car and approached his mother’s vehicle. Then he started banging her head furiously and tried to get her strangle, according to the police announcement.

She managed to escape, but Terrebonne left in her car. Shortly afterwards, he stopped and left the baby on the side of the road, before stepping on the accelerator and smoking.

He was arrested shortly afterwards and charged.

“I knew I had to act fast for this kid,” Dufrene said. “I feel like I just did what any good person would do.”
