O boss Russian mercenary Yevgeny Prigozhin complained on Tuesday that most of his fighters had still not received the medals promised by President Vladimir Putin for their participation in the bloodiest battle of the war in Ukraine.

Complaint occurs while Prigozhin remains stuckof in a standoff with the Ministry of Defense over an order to groupIf mercenaries like his sign formal contracts with the ministry before July 1st.
Prigozhin initially refused to sign anything and has since said, without providing details, that he himself is proposingof an alternative contract.
