The green light for its application health certificate in bars, restaurants and nightclubs from 1 October in the city of Brussels, lit by the Belgian federal government.
The measure is expected to be implemented only in Brussels, due to lower vaccination rates compared to Flanders and Wallonia.
Specifically, as reported by the French-language newspaper “LeSoir”, the health certificate will be valid from the age of 16 from October 1. To enter major events, hospitals and nursing homes, the certificate will be required from 12 years old. Neither Flanders nor Wallonia plan to use it at this time.
At present, the health certificate, or “Covid Safe Ticket” as it is called in Belgium, is mandatory for mass events of more than 400 people outdoors and more than 200 people indoors for people over 12 years old.
The “Covid Safe Ticket” includes a certificate of complete vaccination, or a negative PCR test, or recovery from the disease for the past six months.
