The Spanish Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, on Thursday expressed his concern about the rapid rise in coronavirus cases, while the second wave accelerates in the European country.
“Drastic measures are needed as the coronavirus epidemic is not under control in Spain”.
“The next 5-6 months will be tough regarding the coronavirus pandemic. ”
Wednesday “marks the day that Spain is the first European country to register one million cases of coronavirus. The most worrying thing about that statistic is the doubling of that number in just six weeks. Just yesterday, the country reported 38,000 new cases in a single day. It has also recorded 575 deaths in the past week, bringing the official death toll from coronavirus to 34,366, ”explains Ross J. Burland, analyst at FXStreet.
