“Health Organization Says Israel Not Allowing Qualified Doctors To Enter Gaza” WHO Says

The World Health Organization expresses its concern about the situation in the Middle East, stressing that Israel has banned the entry of qualified doctors who wish to offer their services to hospitals in the Gaza Strip. Since August, requests from eight organizations with more than 50 medical specialists have been rejected due to Israel’s blockade of the Palestinian enclave, the WHO said on Thursday 10/17. The experts aspired to offer medical services as well as psychological support to health workers struggling to cope with the increased needs seen in the few hospitals still operating in the Gaza Strip, the WHO said.
