The executive secretary of the Ministry of Health, Rodrigo Cruz, announced this Monday (17) the anticipation of the delivery of pediatric vaccines against Covid-19 to the states.
In a post on social media, Cruz said that the 1.8 million pediatric doses that were scheduled to be delivered on Thursday, the 27th, will arrive in Brazil on the 24th.
With that, says the secretary, “we gained 3 days and we will continue with the vaccination campaign.”

He also says that after the third batch, the folder awaits a new shipment in early February.
There will be over 1.8 million doses to immunize the age group from 5 to 11 years.
Vaccination in children
The first shipment of doses of Pfizer’s childhood vaccine against Covid-19 arrived in Brazil on Thursday (13). In the batch were 1.2 million doses that were destined for the Brazilian government for distribution to states and municipalities, following the population criterion.
Some municipalities have already started vaccinating children, prioritizing children with comorbidities.
On Sunday (16), the Ministry of Health reported that the country received the second batch with over 1.2 million pediatric doses from Pfizer.
The shipment was expected to arrive on January 20th, but delivery was anticipated.
