Heat and rain: check the weather forecast for November across Brazil

The weather forecast indicates that for the month of November temperatures should remain above average in much of Brazil. Regarding rainfall, the expectation is that it will remain at a normal and average volume in several states. But in parts of the Northeast and Central West, the trend is for less precipitation, according to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet).

For most municipalities in the State of São Paulo, the projection points to more regular rains and milder temperatures.

Possibility of above average heat?

Some days of excessive heat are expected to occur, mainly in northern areas of the North and Northeast regions, where average temperatures could exceed 28 ºC.

In other locations, temperatures tend to be lower. “In some parts of the east of the Southeast and South regions, temperatures close to or slightly below average are expected in some locations, due to the occurrence of consecutive days with rain that can soften the temperature”, adds Inmet.

Some regions are expected to have rainy days

According to Inmet, for the month of November, the forecast indicates that rainfall should remain between normal and average in a large part of the Southeast region, Goiás, central-east of Mato Grosso, Acre, Roraima, northwest and southeast of Amazonas.

“In a large part of the Northeast region, north-central Pará, Amapá, Roraima, as well as the southwest of Mato Grosso do Sul and Mato Grosso, rains close to and below average are expected”, projects Inmet.

The forecast indicates little rain for the northeast of the Amazon region and much of the Northeast region points to a reduction in soil moisture levels, especially in the region that covers the states of Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí and Bahia.

For the Central-West and Southeast regions, the month of November will be marked by the recovery of soil moisture levels, due to the forecast of more regular rains.

In much of the South Region, the forecast is for rainfall close to the historical average and soil moisture levels are expected to remain high.

In Rio Grande do Sul, precipitation is expected to be in the normal range in some municipalities, with some locations above average.
