Danish police announced today that they are investigating two explosions that occurred very close to the Israeli embassy in a northern suburb of Copenhagen. No injuries have been reported and it is still too early for authorities to say the extent of the explosions, a police spokesman told reporters. “It is clear that the Israeli embassy is very close and that is of course also a fact that we are looking into,” said Copenhagen police deputy chief Jakob Hansen. An extensive area has been cordoned off by police. Photos released by the tabloid Ekstra Bladet show heavily armed Danish soldiers guarding the Israeli embassy. Crews, whose members wear special full-coverage suits, are searching the site of the explosions for evidence, tabloid BT reported.
