Helicopter crashes on Canasvieiras beach in Florianópolis and leaves three injured

A private helicopter crashed on Canasvieiras beach, in Florianópolis, on the afternoon of this Wednesday (19), and left three injured, who are not in a serious condition, according to the city’s Municipal Guard. There were six people on the aircraft.

The Santa Catarina Fire Department was called at 5:15 pm. According to the corporation, a boat, an ambulance, a truck and a helicopter were mobilized to assist the victims.

They were transported by vehicles to the nearest emergency care unit.

The Air Operations Battalion (BOA) of the Santa Catarina Military Fire Brigade (CBMSC), in partnership with the Emergency Air Response Group (GRAU/SAMU), attended, with Archangel-01, the aircraft crash in the Canasvieiras beach, together with the ASU teams from the CBMSC and the beach lifeguards, as well as the Santa Catarina Military Police and the Municipal Guard, in the municipality of Florianópolis.

The Arcanjo-01 Aircraft was activated around 5:12 pm to attend to 3 victims already rescued by lifeguards. Upon arrival at the scene, confirmed the nature of the occurrence, the next landing was carried out.
The teams disembarked and carried out the initial assessment of the victims. Afterwards, with no serious injuries, the victims were transported by land vehicles to nearby emergency care units.
