The feature film “Hellboy and the Crooked Man” which brings the iconic comic book character back to the big screen, has received its first teaser.
Scheduled to premiere in Brazilian cinemas in September 19 the film will star Jack Kesy as Hellboy, the character created by Mike Mignola in 1991.

The new production promises to highlight the character’s darker side, with a horror film atmosphere.
According to the synopsis, Hellboy teams up with a rookie agent of the Bureau of Paranormal Investigations BPRD, Tom Ferrell (Jefferson White), in the 1950s.
In the Appalachians, they discover a small community haunted by witches and led by the sinister local demon known as the Crooked Man, who has a dark connection to Hellboy’s past.
In addition to Kesy and White, the cast also includes Adeline Rudolph (“Resident Evil”), Leah McNamara (“Vikings”) and Joseph Marcell (“The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”).
The film is directed by Brian Taylor and written by Mike Mignola himself in partnership with Christopher Golden.
This is the fourth live-action adaptation of the comic book character to film. The others were: “Hellboy” (2004), “Hellboy 2: The Golden Army” (2008) and “Hellboy” (2019).
