Hellenic German Chamber: Launch of the new educational project ‘Future4VET’

On September 7, the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry will host the inaugural event of the new “Future4VET” project for the professional training of young people in fields related to “green” energy and the digitization of the market. The event will take place in the event hall “Eleon – Loft”, in Athens.

The “Future4VET” project aims at Greek-German cooperation for the Establishment and Supervision of Greek Regional Vocational Education and Training Councils and the pilot development of vocational education in the aforementioned fields, through Greek Standard Vocational High Schools (EPAL) and Experimental and Thematic Vocational Training Institutes (IEK). .

The goals of “Future4VET” are:
-The transfer of knowledge to regional councils to build skills in professional areas, covering new market needs

– The development of new – innovative professions profiles

– The formation of modern education models, which will support the mega-trends of greening and digitization.

The specific project has a duration of 3 years and is financed by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). It is supported by the Hellenic German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Research Institute FIAP eV (Research Institute for Innovative Career Planning and Prevention), which is the leader of the partnership, and the Agency “Arbeit und Leben Hamburg”, which will also contribute with his expertise.

It is noted that the field of “Green Entrepreneurship” faces shortages in specialized and properly trained personnel, resulting in difficulties in filling the necessary jobs and obstacles to development in a sector with great prospects for the domestic market.

Anyone interested, who wishes to participate in the event, which has no participation fee, should complete the electronic declaration by 05.09.2022, while for more information you can visit the website https://griechenland.ahk.de/gr/ekpaideysi/future4vet
