Hellenic Gold is among the first companies in Greece to receive the SHARE Equality Mark

Among the first eighteen (18) companies that received the SHARE Equality Mark of the Ministry of Labor is Hellenic Gold, which successfully met the evaluation criteria and received the positive recommendation of the independent Evaluation Committee, which implements the European program in Greece.

This new distinction of Hellenic Gold was based on the commitments and policies that the company implements and with which it develops a corporate culture that promotes equal treatment of the two sexes, equality in decision making and the reconciliation of professional and private life regardless of gender. and other forms of discrimination between employees.

In this direction, Hellenic Gold has developed a system of policies that define the framework for the education, evaluation and development of its people in a transparent and meritocratic way, with the aim of creating an efficient and at the same time fair and inclusive working environment.

More specifically, the policies implemented include:
-Specific indicators and goals related to the representation of women in the organization’s workforce and gender equality. The company’s performance is recorded every 6 months and actions are launched in the context of continuous improvement

-Continuous training of executives on leadership issues that strengthen inclusion practices

-Start implementation of research on inclusion issues on an annual basis and continuous evaluation and comparison of results

-Active Policy against violence and harassment

– Procedure for interviews and job postings in a transparent and inclusive manner due to gender or other status

-Reporting mechanism that allows employees to report any incident of harassment safely

-Upgrading the interview process and job posting transparently and without designations that may exclude candidates based on gender or other characteristics

-Parental support with opportunities for flexible working hours and / or distance work for men and women

-Awareness campaigns on the inclusion and integration of diversity and participation in international programs for the empowerment of women in the industry, such as International Women in Mining.

The SHARE program is the national implementation of the European commitment to promote work-life balance, as well as substantial gender equality. Commitment, which is a key component of the European way of life, aims to address traditional gender roles within the family and to promote reconciliation between work and personal life, with an emphasis on the corporate work environment.

Regarding the receipt of the Mark, Mr. Nikos Biris, Senior Business Partner of the Human Resources Department of Hellenic Gold commented: “We welcome the initiative of the Ministry of Labor to institutionalize the SHARE Equality Mark in the Greek business reality. Especially in times of great challenges.
