The defense of former councilor Jairo Souza dos Santos Junior, known as Dr. Jairinho, asked the Justice to prevent the interrogation of the defendant from being filmed or recorded by the press. The court granted the request.
The interrogation began around 11:20 am, nearly two hours late. During the interrogation on the morning of this Wednesday (09) the former councilor decided not to answer some questions made by Judge Elisabeth Machado.
At the beginning of the hearing, he was questioned by the magistrate regarding the charges.
“For 10 months I have been asking you to listen to the experts. I swear to God I’ve never touched a hair on Henry’s,” said Jairo.
He was then asked what would have happened on March 8, 2021, the date on which Henry Borel passed away.
“For my self-defense, I need some steps to be taken that were not carried out. I need the images from the IML, I need the images from the hospital, the toxicological exam and the x-ray that was said to have been done”, said Jairo.
Then the judge asked three times if he would answer the questions. Faced with the refusal of the accused, he was instructed to leave the court.
Soon after, Monique Medeiros, Henry’s mother, was called back to the scene to be interrogated.
Initially, she asked to do a chronological order of life before being questioned.
