Her young children’s toned abs caused an uproar – What the singer responds

A video she uploaded with her children over Thanksgiving weekend sparked an outpouring of comments. singer of country music, Jessie James Decker. The snapshot that “crazy” her followers showed the three children of the singer and Eric Decker with really flawless ABS.

The striking thing here is the age of their children. Vivianne is 8, Eric Jr is 7 and Forrest is 4. The children, in the video uploaded by the singer on social media, are enjoying their vacation in Mexico, playing on a beach with palm trees. As they wear their swimwear, one cannot overlook them their toned abs, which shows that instead of eating… chocolates they drink protein drinks!

Followers were quick to accuse the 34-year-old mother of digitally editing her children’s abs or, even worse, of over-exercising and undernourishing them.

“They follow a specific diet plan called: ‘mom lets us starve,'” one commenter wrote, according to New York Postwhile another commented: “they train these kids to the point of disgust.”

James Decker has defended her children, dismissing the claims as “crazy” and attributed their six packs to genes and the their active lifestyle.

“How weird our world has become when it comes to bodies and what’s normal and what’s not,” the country singer wrote in a follow-up Instagram post and went on to say that Vivianne competes in “elite fitness competitions,” Eric Jr. plays soccer and Forrest dances for hours every day.

Experts say the Decker children’s bodies aren’t exactly normal, but they’re not necessarily unhealthy either.

“We see around us people of all ages at both ends. For example, a 47-year-old man can be extremely fit and someone else will look like he doesn’t have a single muscle in his body,” physical therapist Mike Manzo told the Post. “Jessie James Decker’s children clearly won the genetic lottery” says.

Children are also “products of their environment” and possibly of a family in which fitness is a main feature. “This is what children see at home. Maybe the Deckers are fitness people and are always doing something to stay in shape,” Manzo continues.

While he doesn’t know exactly what the Decker kids are doing to get their abs, the physical therapist notes that kids are increasingly being pushed into vigorous exercise programs prematurely. Early specialization in a single sport has led to an increase in injuries, the expert says.

The physiotherapist argues that children as young as 7 doing resistance or weight training, while they should focus on basic movements like crawling, jumping, rocking, sitting, pushing and pulling – especially when their bodies are changing so quickly. There’s no magic age when kids can start hitting the weight room, but Manzo says it should be after they have full control of their movements.

A good and simple rule is that the number of hours a child trains in a particular sport should not exceed their age. For example, an 8-year-old should not play soccer for more than eight hours each week.

Manzo explains that children benefit physically from simple playgrounds. “When they play chase, ride a bike and climb a tree, that’s what a human body should be doing at that age.” ends up.
