Fulfilling once again its commitment to respond to the essential needs of the local communities where it operates, the HERACLES Group responded immediately to the request of the Landscaping & Tree Association of Malaki, undertaking the complete reconstruction of the central square of the area.
The project was delivered to the residents of Milaki in a special inauguration ceremony that took place, in the presence of local authorities and organizations, employees of the Factory of AGET IRAKLIS and residents.
In particular, following the principles of modern sustainable construction, the floor of the Square was paved with Lafarge Artevia Stone Special Concrete, which offers a unique architectural identity giving the feeling of natural stone in perfect harmony with the surrounding area. At the same time, the square was transformed into a pleasant space with the placement of evergreen trees that will offer shade and coolness to its visitors, but also other plants and flowers that give color and contribute to the protection of biodiversity in the area. At the same time, the space was equipped with new benches, with the aim of making the square a welcoming meeting place for the residents of Milaki, while bicycle parking spaces were provided for the lovers of “green” routes. Finally, the bus stop located in the square was reconstructed, in order to serve and make the passengers a pleasant stay.
“For many decades, our place has learned to coexist with large industrial units with a significant impact on the economic and social life of our region. In this context, we addressed the factory of AGET HERACLES with a request for the reconstruction of the central square. “Immediate response from the management of the Factory, which took care of the timely implementation of the project. We hope to continue our cooperation, with this project being only the beginning of a series of interventions that will be made on a regular basis in the future,” said Mr. Angelos Karatzas, President of the Landscaping & Philodaski Association of Milaki.
Mr. Vassilis Kampanis, Director of the Factory of AGET IRAKLIS in Milaki, said “For more than 110 years, we have been listening to the needs of Greek society and Building Together a more sustainable world for all. Our commitment to the needs of its local community Evia – with the aim of creating value and sustainable development for the place that hosts us – remains our non-negotiable priority, so the project of reconstruction of Milaki square fills us with great joy and pride, as we envision the square as a gathering place for our fellow citizens. , of the people who have been hosting us in their “home” for 40 years “.
