Here comes «Mary», the first botanical distillate with a low alcohol content and (only) 9 calories

Basil and thyme give a touch of unmistakable freshness while sage amazes with a savory and unexpected touch. Then again the juniper, together with angelica, pine and coriander, complete an aromatic bouquet with balsamic and delicate scents.

Yes, in this way it would seem only a new drink similar to a gin or some other spirits, certainly good, certainly fragrant but nothing more than that; instead Mary is truly something exclusive that, in the beverage panorama, is destined to change the cards – or rather, the cocktail – on the table.

The reason is as simple as it is revolutionary: just launched on the market by the London start-up “ILLOGICAL DRINKS” and distributed in Italy by “Fine Spirits”, Mary presents itself as the first botanical blend in the world with a low alcohol content (with an alcohol content of 6% vol.) And very low in calories (with just 9 calories per 25 ml). To be clear, the alcohol contained in six glasses of Mary & Tonic, of which we will soon reveal the recipe, is equivalent to that of one and only Gin Tonic. Plus it’s vegan, sugar-free and zero-carbohydrate. From the series: drinking responsibly has never been so healthy and enjoyable at the same time.

«We wanted to offer something different – says Eric Sampers, Managing Director of ILLOGICAL DRINKS. With 6% vol. and 9 calories per 25ml, there is no other drink around like Mary. We have chosen to launch it right now that the world is returning to a new normal, to offer customers an alternative choice, halfway between a pure distillate and an alcohol-free drink ».

THE INGREDIENTS AND HOW TO DRINK
In perfect balance between quality, drinkability and sustainability, the seven aromatic herbs of Mary (basil, thyme, sage, coriander seeds, angelica root, pine needles and juniper) they are extracted individually in order to preserve their aromatic intensity; the result is a distillate with which to recreate Spritz-like cocktails and which can be combined with the most disparate mixes, from tonic water to agave and “supasawa” just to name a few.

And since summer is long and aperitifs are wasted, in the gallery above you will find, in addition to the photos, also 3 recipes to try immediately, without fear ofhangover and above all of the scales.
