The one between Herno And Miart it is a long-standing bond, born in 2015, which led to the birth of Herno Award dedicated to the best exhibition project, intended as enhancement of the concept of display. If absolute quality and know-how are the foundations of a creation, whatever it may be, the way of displaying and communicating it is also equally necessary and essential to esteem and appreciate what has been created.
Herno Award
The winners of the coveted prize, now in its ninth edition, were, ex aequo, the Galerie Buchholz (Cologne – Berlin – New York) And ChertLüdde (Berlin) in the Established section. «We were struck by the proposal of the ChertLüdde gallery, which brings together international and historical and contemporary Italian artists around feminist positions, in particular Clemen Parrocchetti and Pauline Curnier Jardin. We were equally impressed by the strength and quality of Galerie Buchholz, which presents captivating works by artists such as Paul Thek and Isa Genzken, alongside rare and unexpected pieces by Lukas Duwenhögger and Lutz Bacher” commented the jury.

Awards that underline the strong affinity between the world of art and that of fashion, but also the path and history of Claudio Marenzi, President and CEO of Herno Spa, through his passion for contemporary art. From the Lesa headquarters to the new one Herno Space Milan inaugurated last February, art is in fact the protagonist with works selected according to very specific criteria, aligned with the philosophy of the brand and that of its president “because beauty must be part of everyday life”. In the 3000 m2 of the new Herno Showroom, contemporary art has a relevant and specific space: it is deliberately dedicated to women, with works by two artists who are both guests during the days of Miart: Pae White and Latifa Echakhch.
