Tinsley, a one-year-old female German shepherd, led police to the scene car accident in which her boss was involved and was in a state of hypothermia, rescuing him.
The dog was found running restlessly on Monday night on a freeway on the border of the states of New Hampshire and Vermont (northeastern USA), as a result of which several drivers called the authorities. When police arrived at the scene, located the dog and tried to catch it, Tinsley started running again, leading them to Vermont, at a point on the road where the guardrail was broken and a truck had veered off the road and overturned. His driver, the dog’s boss, as well as another person, were thrown out of the car, injured and began to have hypothermia.
“It quickly became apparent that Tinsley was leading (the police) to the scene of the accident and to the injured,” New Hampshire police said via Facebook.
“It simply came to our notice then dog “He was trying to show them something,” police officer Daniel Boldasar told local WCVB television station. It was like saying, “Follow me, follow me.” And they did – and, to their great surprise, they saw that the guardrail was broken and looking down, in the direction the dog was looking, they could not believe their eyes, “he added.

When first aid workers arrived and began caring for the injured, the dog “sat quietly” next to its owner, said Jack Hedges, a Hartford firefighter.
The owner of the devoted wolf dog, Cam Landry, who ultimately did not suffer any serious injury, described Tinsley as “my little guardian angel”, calling it “a miracle that he had the kind of intelligence he needed to do what he did”.
