At least 18 people were injured after a Hezbollah attack with drones and missiles in northern Israel this Wednesday (17), according to a hospital in the region.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that three civilians were among the 18 people injured. The other victims are soldiers.
One person is in critical condition, two in serious condition and four moderately injured. The other eleven people suffered minor injuries, said a spokesman for the Galilee Medical Center in the northern Israeli city of Nahariya. Most were hit by shrapnel, the spokesman added.
Iran-backed Hezbollah highlighted in a statement that its missiles and drones struck military headquarters in northern Israel in response to the killing of its fighters on Tuesday (16).
On that day, Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon killed three people, including a commander of the Hezbollahaccording to Lebanese security sources.
Israeli fighter jets hit southern Lebanon
Following the attack, Israeli fighter jets struck suspected Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.
The IDF reported that it attacked Hezbollah military compounds and terrorist infrastructure in the areas of Naqoura and Yarine, in the south of the neighboring country.
