Hezbollah has confirmed the death of one of its senior commanders, Ibrahim Qubaisi.
The Iran-backed group said in a statement on Tuesday (24) that he was “martyred on the road to Jerusalem”, a reference to those fighting to support people in Gaza, but gave no further details.
He also said he was known as “Abu Musa” and was born in Zebdine, southern Lebanon, in 1962.
Earlier, the Israeli military said Qubaisi was killed in an airstrike along with two other commanders in southern Beirut.
Qubaisi commanded several Hezbollah missile units, according to the Israel Defense Forces.
