Security sources said a building housing the Baath Party’s offices was hit, and the party’s head in Lebanon, Ali Hijazi, told the Lebanese Al-Jadeed network that Afif was in the building. Lebanon’s Ministry of Health announced that one person was killed and three others were injured. Ambulances were heard rushing to the scene and shots were fired to prevent crowds of people from approaching the scene.
