The Lebanese Hezbollah, an ally of Iran, claimed responsibility for firing Fadi rockets into Israeli territory, a more powerful, longer-range, but less accurate weapon. It is the first time Hezbollah has used the Fadi missiles since the start of Israel’s war with Hamas on October 7, 2023. Iran’s Mehr news agency, citing the Shiite organization, described a multi-purpose surface-to-surface rocket. Fadi-1 is 6 meters long, 220mm caliber, 83kg payload and 70km range. The Fadi-2, which Hezbollah used on Sunday, is the same size, but has a payload of 170 kilograms and a range of 100 kilometers.
