At least once in our lives, most of us have experienced the adrenaline rush that mechanical games cause. If you like strong emotions, you tend to choose the ones that are more extreme. But if your idea is just to have fun with a little action, the wheel of fortune can be a good option.
We assume that this was what some Mexican tourists thought while enjoying their stay at Disney California Adventure Park, during their vacations in the United States, when they decided to get a little distracted at the Ferris wheel. However, they never imagined that their walk would turn into something much more intense.
It was almost seven in the evening when Guillermo Rivera, his girlfriend and two American girls boarded one of the gondolas of the Pixar Pal-A-Round to start a ride on the Ferris wheel, when suddenly, just as they were in the highest part of the tour, the mechanical game stopped.
At first, the boys did not understand what was happening, but then they realized that something was not right, because the attraction remained without moving for too long. Guillermo decided to record the tense moment with his cell phone, the moment after it was shared by the TikTok user Pamela Benítez (@ pizzaplaneta21).
We began to look down and people were the same, as if they were seeing that the wheel was not moving.
In an interview that Guillermo granted to a local media outlet, the Mexican tourist reported that, through the park’s loudspeakers, the park’s staff informed them that they were investigating the reason why the wheel stopped.
They asked us not to be scared, they said that we were 100 percent safe and protected, that they were going to lower us as soon as possible.
The normal ride of the Pixar Pal-A-Round attraction is five minutes, but they stayed much longer on the attraction, being stranded at the top of the ride for almost 15. Although it was only a few minutes, we imagine that the time became eternal.
Once downstairs, Disney California Adventure Park staff reportedly gave them no explanation for what happened. We believe that it was not very courteous of them, since at least, as compensation for the bad time that the boys had, they were able to give them some free passes to enjoy an event in the park.
