Highland Park killer wanted second attack – ‘Tempted’ by crowds and celebrations

21-year-old Robert Crimmo who caused carnage in Highland Park when he opened fire during the 4th of July celebrations, he told police he thought about firing a second attackbecause he saw a lot of people celebrating.

According to AFP, he said he drove to Madison USAwhere he “saw other celebrations” and thought of using the gun he had in his vehicle to commit another attack.

It is noted that the young man shot the crowd on Monday after climbing on the roof of a shop, killing seven people and injuring at least 30 others. After his arrest Monday night, he was questioned by Highland Park police and “voluntarily confessed to his actions,” according to Assistant District Attorney Ben Dillon during today’s arraignment of Crimmo, who appeared in court via video call.

Judge Theodore Potkoniak ordered his remand. Krimo, who has long black hair and numerous tattoos on his neck and face, remained impassive throughout the proceedings.

At a news conference immediately afterward, District Attorney Eric Reinhart declined to speculate on the motive for the attack.

Krimo is charged with seven counts of murder and if convicted could face life in prison without the possibility of parole. He will be brought before a judge again on July 28.
