A highway in Santa Catarina had to be closed since last Saturday night (13) after a barrier fell and sank the BR-101 lane, km 233, in the Palhoças region, in Greater Florianópolis.
On the same day, technicians from the Arteris Litoral Sul concessionaire carried out two preventive blockades: one at km 229 (lane towards Porto Alegre) and another at km 236 (lane towards Curitiba).
Due to the heavy rains that have continued since Saturday night (13), for the concessionaire and the Federal Police (PF), traffic conditions in the region are still not safe. Therefore, the track will remain closed this Monday (15) in the vicinity of Morro dos Cavalos.
According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF) and the concessionaire, the guidelines are for drivers to avoid taking the highway towards the closed section and use alternative routes.
Check out which alternative routes PRF and Arteris Litoral Sul recommend:
Track towards Porto Alegre (or South)
At km 215 of BR-101/SC, drivers must access BR-282/SC. Then, they must continue to Lages/SC, when there will be access to BR-116/SC. This way you can continue to Caxias do Sul/RS. Next, the path must be followed towards BR-453 and drive to Terra de Areia, when you can enter BR-101/SC.
Track towards Curitiba (or North)
Drivers must access BR-453 in Terra de Areia/RS, and continue until Caxias do Sul/RS, when they can enter BR-116. Afterwards, they must drive along BR-116 until Lages/SC, then access BR-282/SC until Palhoça, when they will have access to BR-101/SC.
