A few days ago, on August 5, HIPER, one of the leading electronics manufacturers in the Russian market, officially introduced a new line of smart TVs based on the Yandex platform. And so that a potential buyer can choose the most suitable model, the line of new products consists of six options at once – it starts with a diagonal of 24 inches and ends with a really impressive 65-inch TV. The lineup of the company’s new direction begins with entry-level TVs – H24YQ2200GR and H32YQ2200GR.
They, as you can guess from the name, have a display diagonal of 24 and 32 inches, respectively. At the same time, the resolution is quite modest – we are talking about 1366×768 pixels, although for such a diagonal and an accessible segment, the resolution is quite standard – 4K is extremely rare here. The manufacturer noted that these TVs are equipped with a quad-core processor, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory, plus there is support for Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n at a frequency of 2.4 GHz and a Bluetooth 4.2 module. For those users to whom this diagonal does not seem impressive enough, the manufacturer offers four more impressive TVs – the U43YQ2200GR, U50YQ2200GR, U55YQ2200GR and U65YQ2200GR models with a diagonal of 43, 50, 55 and 65 inches, respectively.
In this case, the potential buyer gets a much more attractive picture due to the resolution of 3840×2160. In addition, these TVs are also equipped with a quad-core processor, 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory. But the wireless modules in this case are more modern – all four models support Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac at 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz, there is a Bluetooth 5.0 module and a modern HDMI 2.1 port. In addition, absolutely all models are equipped with built-in speakers that support Dolby Digital + technology with a fairly powerful and surround sound.
But the main feature of these TVs, of course, is the software platform from Yandex, which is implemented on the basis of the Android operating system – the Android Open Source Project. Thanks to this platform, users can watch more than two hundred TV channels through the Yandex.Efir platform, watch movies and series from the media library of the KinoPoisk HD online cinema, as well as any videos on the YouTube platform. And, of course, all the other features of a smart TV with a voice assistant are also implemented here, as well as the function of installing third-party applications.
