Hitler: His gold watch sold at auction for $1.1 million

The gold clock which was owned by Hitler until he ended his life, he was sold to auction in the US and reached the price of 1.1 million dollars, while this move created a series of reactions.

Specifically, the German network “n-tv” states that the auction was conducted by “Alexander Historical Auctions”, with price not high enoughbut reduced, because it was originally estimated to reach $4 million.

However, there was a lot of backlash, with the European Jewish Association calling for the sale to be cancelled. In fact, the president of the organization (EJA), Rabbi Menachem Margolin, sent a letter to the organizers of the auction and emphasized that “the sale of these items is unacceptable”.

The history of the Nazi legacy

Alexander Historical Auctions, which auctioned the watch, states that it is double-sided and that given to the leader of Nazi Germany on day of his 44th birthdayon April 20, 1933 by the officials of the National Socialist Party.
