Qnap Systems has unveiled what it says is the “Ideal Networked Home Storage” TS-130. The advantages of NAS are soft blue color and low price. The vault allows you to organize centralized file storage, sharing and backup. An interesting feature, not typical for entry-level devices, is the ability to take snapshots of the file system.

The TS-130 is powered by an Arm-based Realtek RTD1295 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. It has 1GB of DDR4 RAM at its disposal. An increase in the amount of RAM is not provided. The embedded QTS 4.4.1 OS is stored in 4GB flash memory. A Gigabit Ethernet port is provided for network connection. In addition, there is one USB 2.0 and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port. The presence of the latter allows, if desired, to connect the separately purchased 5GbE QNA-UC5G1T adapter. The port can also be used to expand storage by connecting TR-004 or TL-D800C modules with four and eight bays, respectively. The storage itself is designed for just one 3.5 “or 2.5” SATA 6Gb / s drive. Its installation and removal requires no tools. The drive is cooled by a 50 mm fan, the noise level of which does not exceed 15.2 dBA.
With dimensions of 187.5 x 66.1 x 157.6 mm, the empty storage weighs 0.61 kg. It costs $ 129. The kit includes an AC adapter.
