Home robot Ebo SE costs just over $ 100

Enabot, a young Chinese company specializing in home robots, has released two new models of these products: Ebo Air and Ebo SE. The price of Ebo SE in China is approximately $ 108. That’s half the price of its predecessor, the Ebo S.

The Ebo S and Pro models were the first generation of a series designed for pet monitoring. At the end of 2019, more than $ 380,000 was raised using the Kickstarter website for the release of robots, and the company managed to sell more than 10,000 robots in total.

The new models are reminiscent of their predecessors, but they are somewhat larger and have more sophisticated “stuffing”, being more focused on home security. In the home security market, they compete with fixed security cameras, occupying the same price niche, but offering more functionality. The robots are free to roam and patrol the premises, allowing users to observe and communicate with people and pets at home.

Ebo SE can avoid obstacles and notify the user via a smartphone app when it detects suspicious activity. When the batteries are depleted, the robot automatically returns to the docking station for charging. Using another app, users can edit the video captured by the robot and share it with other people.

In addition to these functions, Ebo Air can recognize various types of objects and track people, dogs and cats. The artificial intelligence mode allows him to automatically film people and pets and publish short videos daily that he automatically edits.
