Yandex announced the release of the Home with Alice mobile application for the unified management of smart devices. The new service makes it easier to interact with connected gadgets using voice commands from a smartphone and automate their work so that they turn on at the right time without user intervention.
House with Alice supports smart speakers, smart bulbs, set-top boxes, household appliances, and a variety of sensors, both branded by Yandex and third-party manufacturers. Through the application, you can remotely start your devices – for example, before leaving work, activate the robot vacuum cleaner and air conditioner so that the house is clean and warm when you arrive. The developers also provided the ability to monitor the status of the tasks: whether the kettle boiled the water or whether the air conditioner warmed the room to a comfortable temperature.
What features are presented in the “House with Alice”:
- sorting gadgets by rooms;
- viewing the temperature and humidity level in the premises;
- assignment of scenarios when several devices are activated at once with the pronunciation of a certain command;
- setting a schedule for greater independence of a smart home;
