The alarm at the luxury resort in Hawaii ended with the suicide of the suspect and after the tense situation had forced about 100 of his clients to be locked in a hotel ballroom to protect themselves.
According to KITV journalist Tom George, the gunman shot himself dead after hitting a room in the Kahala Resort & Hotel in Honolulu.

No one else was injured after the suspect fired from a locked door, Honolulu Police Chief Brian Leeds told news agencies.
